The EECS departments offers M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Mathematical & Computer Sciences with a Computer Science specialty. The master's program is designed to prepare candidates for careers in industry or government or for further study at the PhD level. Both thesis and non-thesis options are available. For the Ph.D. program, students will work closely with an advisor in one of the following areas:
- Applied algorithms
- Graphics and scientific visualization
- High performance and parallel computing
- Wireless sensor networks

The program demands academic rigor and depth yet also addresses the real-world problems in advanced engineering and technology.
