Minor/Area of Special Interest - Electrical Engineering

A twelve (ASI) or eighteen hour (minor) sequence must be selected from a basic electrical program comprising:

  • EENG-281: Introduction to Electrical Circuits
  • EENG-382: Engineering Circuit Analysis

Additional courses are to be selected from:

  • EENG-284: Digital Logic
  • EENG-307: Introduction to Feedback Control Systems
  • EENG-334: Engineering Field Session, Electrical
  • EENG-383: Microcomputer Architecture & Interfacing
  • EENG-385: Electronic Devices & Circuits
  • EENG-386: Fundamentals of Engineering Electromagnetics
  • EENG-388: Information systems science
  • EENG-389: Fundamentals of Electric Machinery
  • EENG-413: Analog & Digital Communication Systems
  • EENG-417: Modern Control Design
  • EENG-470: Intro to High Power Electronics
  • EENG-480: Power Systems Analysis

Approved special topics with a number EENG398/498 and all graduate courses taught in the Electrical Engineering specialty area are also acceptable. In cases where students have unique backgrounds or interests, these sequences may be adapted accordingly through consultation with faculty in the EECS department.
